It is not possible to edit media_gallery_media, and therefore it is not possible to add e.g. fbphotosync to the gallery.

If i see it correct, fbphotosync only supports image-fields. Media gallery is based on media (or in future file) field. Therefore you cannot set any settings for that module. So i think, we cannot support it.

The general "feature request" is unlocking the fields. There may be some related issues:
#1202642: Allow setting defaults for media-gallery content type fields

As long, as fbphotosync is based on the image-field, that module cannot be supported.
