I would like to be able to adjust the opacity of events that are tagged with the class .fc-other-month. The problem is this class is applied to the TD not the absolutely positioned .fc-event anchor tag. I'm requesting that we add a class that shows on the a.fc-event whether the event is part of another month, or the current month

Wow, that's useless as is, I definitely agree.

That should be a feature request against the plugin itself: http://code.google.com/p/fullcalendar/issues/list
