I think it would be helpful to create a "use local sharethis style" option that loads the styling from the users local machine instead of making what in some cases will be an unnecessary request.
The following file is requested regardless of whether a the user wishes to override the styling locally.
http://w.sharethis.com/button/css/buttons.4123613a08b6626b3bc5851d742f24...
Obviously this creates unnecessary duplicate css. I think a Drupal admin feature in which the user can select a local css file would be useful and definatly more efficient.
In the screenshot attached there was no need for an external request for button styling to be made.

chefnelone CreditAttribution: chefnelone commentedI have the same need here. Did you find a solution for this? Or any other module with less request to external sources?

kingfisher64 CreditAttribution: kingfisher64 commentedNot heard of any progress. I'd have coded it myself then and there if I could. But testing and designing is my limitation, so sorry can't help (frustrated). If anyone else who can code wants to have a try I'll test and provide any useful feedback.
