Just another memo... Sometimes when there're lots of content types enabled to be attached to a forum voc, the string of "New [content type]" buttons is long enough to break into two or even three lines. In my opinion for the sake of better usability we should provide a checkbox to turn these buttons into a ctools-driven jump menu.

MichelleI'm fine with this as long as it's either optional or only comes into play with N node types as we would still want the buttons for the normal case of only one or two node types. (Yes, I do realize you said provide a checkbox which implies optional but I'm repeating to make my position clear :) )

So there can be two options:
1.
Checkbox: Enable jump menu for "New [content type]" buttons.
or
2.
Textfield: If there're more content types attached to a forum voc than N AF will replace buttons with a jump menu. Leave the field blank if you don't want to use a jump menu.

MichelleIf you're going to make it a setting, I'd go with #1 as I think #2 is needlessly complex. I'd do #2 only if it was happening automatically, with no setting involved. That is, if you are going to automatically make a jump menu without giving the site builder a choice, do it after, say, 4 node types are added to the forum. (4 is arbitrary... pick whatever makes sense)
