Brought up at the DrupalCon BoF on Thursday.

The idea here is the ability to subscribe to a lesson node on either a central repository of lessons (one main "library" website), or any number of individual sites running the distro (that have implemented their lessons for sharing).

This way, it will be much easier to "build out" a ladder of lessons appropriate to my site, without me having to copy or re-create someone else's work. Updates to the original lesson on the source site, should be propagated to the subscribers' sites.

One complication that should be considered is sharing taxonomy terms (although I think having tags would help solve this).

jessehs, thanks for your help! Can you (or anyone who wants to help move this forward) please reformat this issue according to the issue template here?

If you don't have enough information to propose a resolution or write up remaining tasks, please write a "remaining task" suggesting a next step that will move the issue closer to having a known resolution and/or clear follow-up tasks.

Examples:
http://drupal.org/node/1495642
http://drupal.org/node/1494982
http://drupal.org/node/1495664

I haven't forgotten this here. I've been slammed with work ever since DrupalCon. I will be following up at some point...

@jessehs, This is an awesome idea. Glad to know it's still on your to-do list. You may want to touch base with scor. He's very interested in implementing a similar feature with RDFa. Maybe you two could collaborate.

I also strongly encourage you to re-write the Issue Summary using the template in comment #1, with clear "Remaining Tasks" outlining your suggested implementation. This way, people can help and/or offer specific feedback on implementation.

If you would be willing to prototype this, please assign the issue to yourself. This would be a big help. Thanks!
