Hi,

i'm using the vote_up_down module together with userpoints and voting actions. That worked well so far. i only have defined actions to promote nodes to the frontpage and i alread defined to gain the voter 1 userpoint upon voting.

Since moving my site from beta. subdomain to the main domain suddenly the node author only get's points when any user votes his node (10 points). I checked voting actions and userpoints settings. unfortunately i have no idea where this may come from so i decided to post a ticket with this module first as this seems to most likely be the problem!?

I have no idea either. It has to be something about vote up down that is triggering it.

Check the code for it vs. the userpoints_txn file to narrow it further.

It is a table in the database, not a file.

ok thanks - i just thought as you named it a "file".

anyway - i had a look at it. There are "vote up/down" events with correctly given 1 point for voting and directly after that there are events called "snip" which is the name of a custom content type i use. I reward creating new snips with 10 points and it seems like now (i don't know why) the auther of this snip is given another 10 points for each vote with vote up/down.

Strange behaviour as it wasn't there during the last days.

probably this could really be related to the userpoints module. See here http://drupal.org/node/149403 and here http://drupal.org/node/144927 for other discussions relating that.

The only thing i updated during the last days was the userpoints module.

It seems like on a vote with an active voting action (described in the other thread) the points for creating the content type get rewarded to the node author. Kinda strange behaviour.

Please upgrade to the latest version.. and possibly version 3 (in CVS) and reply if you're still having the issue.

changing status to duplicate as I *think* this is related to this issue

In either case it seems as though the bug posted has left and we've been unable to duplicate this issue.
