I use a page-node-CONTENTTYPE.tpl.php to modify the page output. the exported page though seems to get rendered without using this template (other templates like a cck-field-template) get rendered

thanks for alpha4! i did some more testing and it looks promising ;)
at the first quick view only some jquery doesn't get handled $("#wrapper").load("/abc.html");
but that might be a little too much to expect ;)

let me know If you notice any issues. Going to release an a5 tomorrow with similar option to manually include assets which can account for what you mention with an html page
