Could it be possible to have defaults such as maximum size (width/height), or something to preset scalewidth in order to not messing-up with page layout when users insert flash movies? This should be set in Flash node settings by Admin User.

BTW, I think Flash Node is cool & easy - and I'm planning to use it extensively.

Many thanx in advance.

Yes, it would be possible. Maybe we need to have an option under admin for "maxheight" and "maxwidth", and if the movie is bigger than either of these it is forced to the maxsize, while maintaining aspect ratio. Maybe the admin setting could include an option of "zero", to mean no maximum (which would be the default).

I think the database would then store the real height and width, so if the admin decides to change the limit then the normal sizes are restored.

The input form could probably be modified to show a message to tell the user the content will be forced.

I had thought of doing something similar in the future to scale flash to display in a block on the side where the width would be restricted. This is just a derivative of that.

I'll add this to the development list (Along with reminding myself to start thinking about a "flash block"!)

Glad you like flash node :-)

I've added this feature to flashnode-5.x.2.x-dev so it will be in the next release. You can specify a max height, width or specify both. When the flash is displayed it will be scaled down to meet the specified limits.

If the setting is put to zero then this means "no limit". The original flash size is never changed, so if you want a different setting at a later date you simply change the admin form.
