I am trying to disable comments on FAQ. But I cannot store any content type related settting for FAQ type of node.

You should be able to globally disable them in admin >> content types.

Yep, you can disable them as nancyw says on "Administer >> Content Management >> Content Types" (admin/content/types/faq). Closing this issue.

It was acting weird yesterday. It will not store all teh settings on content type. I tried stoopping server, using different browser, cache cleanup.

Now it seems to be doing alright.
