Dreditor's self-check for new versions was disabled when we converted the user script to use native HTML5 stuff only.

Attached patch re-introduces update checks. Code + all history is in the 'update' branch: http://drupalcode.org/project/dreditor.git/shortlog/refs/heads/update

Debugging code and the @todo will obviously be removed before commit.
