Only one editor works

Our site has one editor working which shows up fine in node/* and at field-collection/* -- now I wanted to remove few buttons for the latter so I made a copy of the BBCode editor which we use, and removed field-collection/* from the first one's visibility settings, then added it to the second editors visibility settings.

The first editor showed up in both places as expected, hiding it from the field-collection/* worked, but I just cannot get the latter one to show up at all. I've cleared caches multiple times and checked console for any possible javascript errors, but nada.
