i18 support

First I want to thank you for this awesome module.
This is a must have module for every page which has to save fields like mail addresses or phone numbers (e.g phones for work, home or mobile).
I began already programming my own module after two days of searching a module with this functionality.
The field collection module doesn't fit because I need to have easy access over a REST services module. (restws works with all entities)

To my feature request. My top priority is that this module works with multilanguage sites.
I need translated options on a select box.
I've seen an other feature request for the 1.x version, where translatable prefixes are needed.

I think the Drupal core translation module has the functionality built in.
