Weights are messed up when using multiple pages (and pagers) in Views

There's a situation where the order gets all messed up when using multiple pages with views. For instance, if I move an item from page 2 all the way to the top, after saving the weights, some of the items of page 2 end up in page one, giving the sensation of a random order (or a mess). Maybe it is me not knowing which switch to use in views. I have the Draggable views field in the list of fields and only Content: Draggable views weight (asc) in the Sort criteria field, and in the View style settings (it's a table), the default sort is set to none. Pager is set to full, 10 items per page.

it is a painstaking process as something which I just put in order might shuffle everything else around.

Am putting this into Priority "major", as so far as I can tell it doesn't work as designed with Views.

Also, after installing Feb/2012 version (with which am still getting the same issue), I get -
