Is it normal that DS layouts are available in node add\edit ("Manage Fields") forms for nodes, but not for field collections (i.e. the field_collection module)?

While DS layouts are available in view forms ("Manage Display") for both nodes and field collections.

To clarify better: in field collections the "Layout for ..." vertical tab is missing in "Manage fields" and it's available only in "Manage display", so I'm not able to rearrange the layout used by the add\edit form.

For nodes entities the "Layout for..." vertical tab is available in both "Manage fields" and "Manage display".

yes, it currently only works on nodes and forms registered with rel.
