I'm running

drupal 7.10
Media Gallery 7.x-1.0-beta7
Media 7.x-1.x-dev (2012-jan-05)

I needed a function like the i18n_comment provides but discovered that when I enable it the pager disappers on media gallery. Comes right back when I unable i18n_comment again.

Is this related to #1079870-49: Undefined offset: 1 in theme_pager() when Media Gallery is used alongside Views and does the solution there solve this issue too?

I just tried i18n_comments beta 1 and everything seems to work fine.

Do you mean this module?
Which pager disappears - the gallery pager or the comments pager?

The mentioned module seems to have a bug in the pager - not only on media_gallery nodes. Just tried it on the default article node.
Please provide more information.
