I removed the module and then reinstall the dev version and got this message while installing:

FieldException: Attempt to create field name <em class="placeholder">field_user_nicemessages_enabled</em> which already exists and is active. in field_create_field() (line 81 of /home/ecodev/public_html/modules/field/field.crud.inc).

Just solved it with "clear all caches". Now it's installed fine. Hopefully it can help
