Documentation, please?

Setting up this module(s) is totally unclear as there is neither a handbook page, nor a README.TXT or an INSTALL.TXT file.

Except that the module page lists two new modules ("Drupal Maintenance (Notifier)", and "Drupal Maintenance (Server)", it appears to do nothing. The configuration page wants to have data entered in required fields, but doesn't tell where this data is supposed to come from.

Also there are a number of highly obscure dependencies like CCK that are not explained. It's utterly impossible to evaluate this module as one doesn't even know what it is supposed to do, left alone how this is supposed to be accomplished.

So, can we have some documentation, please?
