Hey Sven -
I checked in with Jonathan (jsacksick) and he said that this Address Book module has some new code and also some functions integrated from his sandbox(http://drupal.org/sandbox/jsacksick/1247482), but also that his sandbox had bug fixes from Bojan as well. Since I was looking for the "definitive" Address Book, I was trying to determine which one was the final version.
Can we chat about a simple plan to integrate the correct code in the right direction, and come up with a finalized release - if you are still OK maintaining / working on this module? :-) (smokinggoat on IRC).

Main goals:
* Alpha release of Address Book
* Integrate with Shipping 2.x
* Shipping address Entity is defined in Shipping 2.x, not Address Book
Next steps:
* Goat and jsacksick look at his module & ID what is missing in sven's module
* We all decide what we want to add from the jsacksick module into the main namespace module
* ID bugs in main issue queue that have been fixed by Bojanz bug fixes - and port them over too
* ID remaining blocking bugs for an alpha release
I will confirm with Jsacksick and sven that this is accurate and we'll go from there. ;-)

svendecabooterThanks for the writeup smokinggoat.
I have been addressing some issues and looking at the issue queue in jsacksick's sandbox in the meanwhile.
Regarding Shipping 2.x: I installed commerce_addressbook together with commerce_shipping (both latest git code), and the addressbook functionality works perfectly together with the shipping bundle.
Here is a small roadmap of stuff i'd like to tackle and get fixed:
Issues regarding basic functionality (alpha blockers?)
Additional functionality to be included from jsacksick sandbox
Other functionality
I think only the first list is really blocking a first alpha release. The other things could be integrated later on, since the module is not really broken without them.

bojanz CreditAttribution: bojanz commentedI've pushed the 7.x-2.x branch and created a -dev release. I plan to tag a RC as soon as I get some more UI feedback from Sven and possibly Ryan.
Also uploaded a patch for adding uninstallation code to 7.x-1.x.
Enough to close this issue.
