Duplicate efforts

Hi, Jeff Burnz here, with one of the duplicate sand-boxes.

I was intending to start work on something after BADCamp, no sure if you have any code or what your approach was going to be. I have been looking at Field Collection and Bean and thinking along those lines but nothing really hardcore figured out.

adamdicarlo posted this comment on my sandbox http://drupal.org/node/1312342 which takes a similar approach to what I was thinking, however I havent actually had time to review the code, after camp :)

I forgot to search sandboxes before creating this. Thanks for the heads up. I am not sure where you guys are at on your modules? I have used the Galleria module as a base and reference and repurposing a lot of it's code I was able to get a working version in a couple of hours. It needs some refinement, additional features and QA. I figure that in a couple of days I will be able to release the module as a alpha version.

Would you guys like to join forces so that we only have one Flexslider module?

I am happy to retire my effort and let others move forward, I'm just happy there is FlexSlider module at all. I'll do what I can and I havent started as yet, but I really think its best of there is only one, but then again it depends, some use Views some don't etc.

I was planning on using Views Slideshow Cycle as a basis for creating the slideshow using FlexSlider.

There's no reason this module can't contain code to work with Views as well as on it's own. The main module could handle all the library definitions, implement any field level slideshow stuff. Then maybe a sub module to work with Views Slideshow?

I think the views jqfx module and the nivo submodule uses the the flexislide as a css theme option.

Since we're a full project now I think we can close this issue.
