if you request static version of autoload 1.0.0 why you dont just include this into module? I don't see the reason to adding extra work for developers. If you quick it's just a couple of seconds but still it's some efford.

As per http://drupal.org/licensing/faq/#q2

We require that all files (PHP, JavaScript, images, Flash, etc.) hosted on Drupal.org be under the GPL. If it's in Git, then it is under the same license (GPL version 2 or later). That way there is no confusion about what license a given file is under.
