I have modified the config file to eliminate a non-supported menu item UniversalKey but I still get an error indicating there is an unrecognized menu item. I am not sure where the DrupalFull tool bar set is being pulled from. When I do a code search looking for UniversalKey, it isn't found. Not sure what to do next.

this is fixed in the development version of the editor.

also make sure that no files from previous versions still exist.. and that you're working with a cleaned up browsercache and no proxyservers

Yup, it's most probably a caching issue.

Just delete "Temporary Internet Files" in IE or "cache" in firefox and the problem should go away.
