We did a PHP memory limit error when installing via drush, and the Configure link on the modules page linked back to the permissions tree, instead of to the Role assign tab. Uninstalling the module and re-enabling/installing it from the GUI worked. This happened with both the -beta1 and -dev versions.

I'm not sure what to make of this.

I don't think it's in the power of the module being installed to behave differently when being installed by Drush rather than from the GUI. Rather I'd say that Drush ought to do whatever is necessary to install modules as if they were installed from the GUI.

That said, I don't think that RoleAssign is in any way special at installation time, and my first guess is that something is different on your site.

The configuration link is listed in the roleassign.info file. It's as plain as that...

Thanks for your reply. I agree, I was a bit at a loss to explain why it occurred the way it did. I'm still not sure, but am not really going to worry about it.
