It would be great to be able to use an image from an image field as the st_image attribtute on the share button. The image would then be displayed with the shared content.

This would be easy to integrate if only I could figure out a way to configure it automatically. Otherwise, you would have to manually add it on every node. The configuration options would be cumbersome at best. Any ideas?

The way I imagined it would work is that you would set it per content type. You could choose one image field which would provide the image for the shared node content.

Yes even a default st_image would be nice. That way FB posts would get a little thumbnail love. So if the module had a field to point to an image and then it passed the full path to the image to st_image, wouldn't that work?

Sure, I'd love to submit a patch if I had the skill set.
