Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Even if Drupal 5 features new views over settings and administration functionality, this module hasn't lost its interest.
With Drupal 5 way of categorizing modules, the control panel module would be more useful than ever. With functionality sorted by category (site building, content management, etc), with the current display of the control panel, it would be more practical than the new administrator experience.
If I have time, I'll help for the upgrading effort.

fm CreditAttribution: fm commentedI'd like to see this upgraded to 5.x too. I enjoyed using it in 4.7.
While the native 5.x admin pages are much better than 4.7, I believe Control Panel could improve the admin experience even more.
