I just now refreshed my Release Monitor at /admin/settings/releasemonitor. Even though I have date 5.x-1.2 installed and 5.x-1.3 is the latest version (per http://drupal.org/project/date), Release Monitor only shows a minor update is available, and it downloads 1.2 when I click on the download button.

I'm having similar problems - releasemonitor keeps trying to get me to upgrade to the same or an an earlier version ... it's very distracting. I can't tell if the problem is with releasemonitor module or drupal CVS archive ... Modules I'm getting nonsense for are:

date
devel
gmap
views

There are similar problems with: panels, pathauto, and imagefield...

I am discontinuing support for this module and closing all issues. Please see the update status module.
