When I choose to group by certain CCK fields, I get a warning message:

Content: CCKfield(cckfield name): undefined (141 items)

My particular CCK field is a text field, as a Select list, and a dozen Values or Key|Value pairs, not required, number of values=1, plain text.

I'm guessing that Slickgrid is misreading the data.

I just tested a field with these settings & grouping on it works OK for me. Can you try upgrading to the latest version & see if that fixes it? If not, is the field available for every node type in the view? And are you doing any formatting on the fields?
