I've been testing Display Suite in D7 in combination with the Panels Extra Layouts module (http://drupal.org/project/panels_extra_layouts) module. The goal is to create different panels for each content type and to use some of the cool layouts supplied by Panels Extra Layouts.

Although panels supplied by Panels Extra Layouts seem to work fine when using Panels' native "Node template" panel (admin/structure/pages/edit/node_view), when instead using Display Suite to override the content type's "Manage Display" tab (and then selecting a panel supplied by Panels Extra Layouts), no fields are being rendered/displayed. In fact, not even the body field will be displayed.

Any ideas as to what could be causing the problem? I'm not sure if the bug is due to Panels Extra Layouts or Display Suite itself.

Thanks,
Ben

I know where the problem lies. All the layout plugins from panels use a 'panels' prefix in the tpl file, those of the panels extra layouts not. I thought this was some sort of convention, alas, there is a theme key in the plugin definition, so I need to check how to get the 'theme' key. Thanks for the report, something learned again :)

Fix has been committed, you'll have to resave existing layouts though. (glad we're still in dev hehe)
