Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Skinr (and most of the Fusion base base layout) breaks with Dialog API 6.x-1.x-dev (2010-Aug-14), jQuery UI 6.x-1.x-dev, jQuery Update 6.x-2.x-dev (jQuery 1.3.x), and Modal Frame API 6.x-1.7. Those are the reuqirements of the Node Relationships module.
This is a major issue if the theme is supposed to to upwards compatible; if the theme requires certain version of jQuery etc., it probably would be a "won't fix" or "works as designed". Also this might be another Skinr issue. A list of known incompatibilities would be nice.

Ether CreditAttribution: Ether commentedConfirm that Node Relationships does not works with this theme.
Any attempt to fix this ?
CORRECTION. This happens only when Optimize CSS is on.
CORRECTION2. Problem solved after disabling block in "postscript bottom"

this is a new one we are working on to solve ASAP.

goody815 CreditAttribution: goody815 commentedasb,
what version of skinr are you using?
asb CreditAttribution: asb commentedCurrently 6.x-1.6,but this issue is more than a month old and I have stopped using Acquia Maria weeks ago (priority for 'Node Relationships', sorry).

goody815 CreditAttribution: goody815 commentedasb,
almost all the Node Reference modules requirements you listed are dev versions? have you tried using the stable versions of these? I don't think I could pinpoint an issue if all the supporting modules used are in dev versions.

asb CreditAttribution: asb commentedAs you correctly noticed, the dev releases are requirements. That's especially true for jQuery, and jQuery Update, and I don't like it either, but that's how Drupal works, including TNT/Acquia themes like Slate 3.x, running on Skinr 6.x-2.x-dev and the like.

goody815 CreditAttribution: goody815 commentedthat is a tough one. i understand your needs that Node Relationship comes first though

CharlieCastle CreditAttribution: CharlieCastle commentedUnchecking "Aggregate and compress CSS files" and clearing all caches worked for me.
I then re-checked "Aggregate and compress CSS files" and it's still working (at least so far).

RobAlex CreditAttribution: RobAlex commented"Breaks" is a vague term. Drupal kept reporting that the version of the theme we were using (6.x-1.5) was no longer supported so should upgrade. For us, 1.5 was working perfectly. Upgraded to 3.1 and was presented with a mess. Turns out the blocks were all assigned to the correct regions as in 1.5 but the regions were not displayed on the page. And this was before we enabled JQuery UI. So no choice but to return to 1.5 - still working fine.

sheena_d CreditAttribution: sheena_d commentedIf this issue only occurs when CSS compression is turned on, then it is mostly likely the result of some invalid/broken CSS, which could be caused by any module or theme used on the site.
Either way, I tried installing the currently supported versions of Node Relationships, its dependencies, and Acquia Marina, and did not experience any issues. There is not enough information in this thread to reproduce the issue and test, so I am marking this as closed. If anyone continues to have this issue and wants to hash it out with me, just re-open the ticket.
Thanks,
Sheena
