Greetings!!

I want to hook into a node_presave to see if user is changing certain field items.
If they are, I want to add this action to the user's activity stream, as it indeed should be visible to the public.

Any clue how to program this?

Subscribe. I tried coding a custom activity hook to do this and ran into a wall. Using the existing User activities as a baseline, the D7 version seems to use the Trigger API (?), I don't understand how/why or how to add custom messages. Help/documentation from the creators would be most appreciated. Thank you!

D7 reached its EOL back in January 2025, and there is no active release for D7 for this module anymore.
Development or support is not planned for D7. All D7-related issues are marked as outdated in a bunch.

If the issue remains relevant for D10+ versions, merge requests with proposed solutions for a new module version (D10+) are welcome in a new follow-up issue.
