Any thought of adding the ability to insert a text caption below/above a graphical banner, or of being able to align the image in the block (left/right/centred) etc.

You can already do this in multiple ways:

  1. CSS.
  2. Enable the views module, then create a custom view. You can clone the default views to get your initial block setup.

At some point I hope to get to writing documentation on this kind of stuff. Documentation patches would be gladly accepted.
