Tweaking module to work with textarea (kind of crossbreed between story and comment) instead of images

I am taking the module and changing it so it works with stories instead of images. I have the tab showing up, with the form including a textarea for story input. when i say story i don't mean in the drupal way. i mean just the text area. I can't get the submit function to work. i don't know if the show or edit functions work either, but i'm guessing not because i am stuck on the submit. if someone could take a look at the module and let me know if i am going in the right direction or if i am totally wrong, that would be great.
