Would it be possible to extend this module to also support a use case where another element in the feed contains a simple URL to an image, and that URL is used to attach an image to a node's imagefield?

I can understand that a lot of people want any images appearing inside the body of a summary (with a certain class or something like that) to be scraped and pulled in as an imagefield. However, for my use case, I have a feed which has a text summary, then another tag (<photourl>[url here]</photourl>) to give a location of an image.

It would also be great to be able to support enclosures and image/jpeg importing... I heard SimplePie is supposed to offer support for enclosures being mapped to image/filefields, but I've had hit-or-miss experiences with that. This module sounds like a much better solution.

The Drupal 6 branch is no longer supported.

If this is still functionality you would like and it isn't possible with the current version of the module (or other available feeds modules, or the core feeds module itself) please feel free to reopen as a D7 issue.
