I've installed all the versions of the module to make sure this is truly an issue.
reCaptcha is not showing in the registration form. It appears and functions normally without the module.
But in the registration box with login/register it doesn't show. When I click the register button, the message error for not filling the captcha appears, what means it is somewhere on the form, but hidden.

I've tried this with garland and custom theme. I've also manipulated z-index thinking the captcha may be behind the form, without success.

Try disabling secure connection if you have it enabled in the "ReCaptcha" tab.

Same thing here.
In the register form the description of captcha appears, but not the actual recaptcha chalenge.
Disabling secure connection > same thing
