Can the option to add the User profile Homebox to a selected menu be included in the module, in addition to just being available to add as a profile tab?

In the meantime, how can I create a menu link in D7 so that it resolves to /user/[uid]/dashboard (like is on drupal.org's Your Dashboard)?
