Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
The name "What Would Seth Godin Do?" doesn't describe what this project does, namely to show blocks for a specified number of visits, so I'd like to change the name. Any ideas? I don't want to use 'expire' or 'expiry' in the title, since that usually implies a time period.
As part of the renaming, I'd like to have a migration path. All variables, database table names and settings would get migrated as part of an update hook in the .install file.

mgiffordSeems like http://drupal.org/project/welcome is available.
Short & sweet is usually good!

sillygwailoSince, at least in the 7.x-2.x branch, every block will have the possibility of hiding after a configurable amount of visits, "Welcome" would be too specific to the case of "you're a new visitor, here's some info to get you started" type of block. Something like "Block Visits" but even that's not descriptive enough.

mgiffordIt's about encouraging user behavior, right? Either encouraging them to explore for the first time or the 100th time.
Nice that it's so customizable. Will be neat to explore it's potential effectiveness in building participation.

Anonymous (not verified) CreditAttribution: Anonymous commentedHello all,
I've been putting together some updates to the module which you may have already seen in the 6.x-2.x branch. One of the forthcoming updates I hope to put into this module is to invert the behaviour so that it will have an option to display after $x number of visits, rather than only having the option to display until $x visits.
With this in mind I'm proposing to rename this module to "loyalty" or "loyalty_block". The reason for this is simple: we are rewarding repeat visits in some way and encouraging users to return to our sites.
Any arguments for or against this suggestion?
As an aside, I'm also going to put some time into scheduled_block and my forthcoming node_tasklist modules to compliment the featureset of this module. I encourage people to submit feature requests as the summer coding season approaches!
Thanks everyone!

mgiffordI don't much care what it's named, but think either this should be closed or the project should be renamed. I don't see a huge problem with the wwsgd though.
