Bypass auto conversion

There are two options two bypass auto conversion of videos. I've found that only one of them works. Of course this could be settings on my end.

If your files are in compatible format, such as mp4, mpeg, avi, mpg, wmv, flv, you can do this to "by pass auto conversion":

Admin --> Content types --> Video --> Manage fields --> To the right of the video field, click "Configure" --> Uncheck "Enable video conversion"

That worked for me.

This did NOT work:

Admin menu --> video --> General tab --> Check "Bypass video conversion"
