I'd also like to see this, too... or at least better integration with the Wysiwyg module.

I don't know why this editor isn't at least as popular as the buggy-as-hell ckEditor / TinyMCE and the ilk. I personally FAR prefer the "Markitup experience".

I've just implemented a markitup module and manage to integrate into D7. Most of the code I borrowed from mathjax module. I couldn't find the opportunity to examine the markitup module as it is now and set it up into D6. But I guess it should take a few hours for the current developers to produce an alpha. Any work done to migrate to D7 or is it abandoned in favor of the WYSIWG module?
