There seem to be modules with links in Advanced Help that only exist as placeholders. For example, there are several subtopics listed under Advanced Help for Panels module, but the links lead only to a page that says, "Missing help topic". Not only is this not useful, it also discourages users from making use of Advanced Help if they follow links in the system that lead to nothing useful.

I'm guessing this reflects relative priorities of development versus documentation. Perhaps these links in AH should be removed, or replaced with direct links to relevant information at Drupal.org. If there is a need for creating docs to go into AH, then perhaps a message to that effect could go into the top level of a module section requiring such documentation.

I'm downgrading this to a minor feature request. That authors of other modules (including Panels) create useless placeholder files is not a bug in Advanced Help.

While it would be better of Advanced Help did not link to placeholder files, it is postponed until someone who wants this provides a patch that becomes RTBC.

While prasannag signed up for this, there has been no progress for two years. Unassigning.
