Ok, we figured already out this has to do with cck not being functional yet within D7 (and it is advised to apply node location).
When will this be operable? We need this possibility urgently. If we can assist we will.

Location CCK should be working and works for me for the testing I have done.

Can you give any more information:
* Are you using drupal 7.0 & the latest dev version of location from the 15th Feb?
* What are the settings for you location field (are there any required location fields etc.)?
* Are the locations saving at all?
* Does it happen for new nodes, updated nodes or both?
* Anything else you can think of that might make your field special in some way?

- Drupal 7 + latest dev of today (just installed it through update script and tested)
- I don't think anything saves, as i've created a view setting empty fields with a basic text 'no location' and this text is appearing, even to those having data
- i have existing nodes and new, tested on both, same result
- I took screenshots of my settings, you can take a look and search for inconsistency's.

I can confirm this error when you are previewing a new node but if you just save the node without previewing it works. Is that right?

I need to test this as my content type (read: node) requires a preview before submitting.

I don't get the error when directly saving (so you're right on that one) but the field shows as empty. No map or adress are visible.

There are actually a number of issues surrounding locations loading incorrectly during preview.
I'll get it fixed soon.

Fields being empty is odd, that was happening previously should have been fixed on the 14th here - #1056156-2: Finish implementing hook_field_formatter_info() and hook_field_formatter_view() for location_cck so should not still be happening (although map related displays are still not working properly).
