The current "Success Stories" section of the site is a bit of a mess. The top level item needs some cleaning, and I thin we should consider whether this section should be curated a bit better, as there are a lot of pages in there without any (or any good) content. Some example of "Case Studies" that are a incomplete or generally unhelpful:
[#1024440]
[#972286]
[#1024788]
[#996356]
Should these be removed? If so, should they be unpublished? If not, where should they be put?

alex ua commentedShoot, don't know why the d.o. nodes didn't get picked up (I thought they were part of the default input format). Here they are:
[#1024440]
[#972286]
[#1024788]
[#996356]
edit: okay, looks like the input format isn't working...

alex ua commentedSorry, forgot the node linking only works for projects. The pages are:
Call of Duty Tactical Operations Center
Zorek - animal fansite
Cult of Ubuntu aka COU runs on Drupal
Rotterdamse Scheidsrechters Vereniging (Rotterdam Club of Referees) - inter-/intranet for officiating

silverwing commentedWhile I agree some of them are sorely lacking "success" content, I would prefer the node authors be emailed and asked if they can add more content to their posts before we go and unpublish them.

alex ua commentedI was hoping that there was someplace to put nodes like this--that we don't want to delete or unpublish, but which need to be removed from a specific book. Is there a current way to flag something as "needs moderation"? I seem to remember a book setup for this purpose, but couldn't locate it when I looked...
Tagging this as part of the overall discussion of a redesign for the case studies section.

avpadernoThere is an Archive book, but if I am not wrong it is used for other purposes.

I do hope this issue gains some traction #948062: Build Drupal Case Studies.
I don't think emailing the node authors is a good use of volunteer webmaster time, unless it can be automated somehow. If we have a new Showcase, we are going to need to migrate some content over, but even that will be a lot of work.
In the meantime, the "Zorek - animal fansite" node is really not good, and it links to a Drupal site with Garland and not much else. Hardly what we want in a showcase :)
I'm specifically not having people audit the showcase/case study nodes as part of the pilot d.o. content audit project, because they should just be dealt with separately.

lisarex commentedI unpublished Zorek - animal fansite and Cult of Ubuntu aka COU runs on Drupal, because the sites were no longer online.
The Rotterdam one could potentially be improved and migrated.
I will add them to #1487728: Sites from 'Sites Made with Drupal' that won't be migrated to the new /case-studies page
Call of Duty was already deleted.
#372039: List out and migrate case studies from book pages to new Case study content type has 2 more followers than this one, so I'm marking this as fixed.
