Is there a way to add images to the handbook pages? I have permissions for editing book pages, but don't see image as an allowed tag in the Filtered HTML or Full HTML options.
If yes, are there any pointers, guidelines for adding images (apart from .png)?
Thanks,
Ramdak

pwolanin commentedWith full HTML, you can just put in an img tag.
The easiest way I think (I you don't have special d.o maintainer priviliges) is to attach the image to an issue (like this one) and then you can copy/past the URL into the img tag in the handbook.

venkat-rk commentedThanks. I saw the full HTML but didn't understand where to upload the images.
But, yikes! Having to create an issue for each image- I am probably going to skip the images :(

pwolanin commentedWell, you can add one attachment per comment- so you can add unlimited images. However, I'm not sure which issue queue you'd want to use- this messages from this queue get e-mailed to everyone on the documentation list.

sepeck commentedbook maintainers do not have upload rights. If they did they could upload the image to the node and then use the img tag to reference the image. Let me ask around to see about the rights. Upload rights would be granted across the site if I added it to book maintainer role. Site maintainer role has it.
Have to do a little audit this weekend to see and document the expected work flow.

venkat-rk commentedThanks! Uploading rights would make life easier as it is difficult to create an issue or several comments to an issue just to be able to add images to book pages.
It always struck me as a bit odd that anyone (regd. users) can upload an image to an issue, but handbook pages -where they would be really useful- cannot have that. But, I am sure we will find a way soon.

venkat-rk commentedThanks, pnm.
Since this has been marked duplicate of http://drupal.org/node/89377, I am marking this fixed and continuing the discussion there.
