The FCK editor module has a way of preventing the editor menus to be shown in assigned 'html area's". This is to complicated for end users without html code capabilities.
I suggest the module is set up in such a way that the editor only shows up in '/add/' and '/edit/' pages.
The administration pages should have plain text input area's unless the administrator adds '/admin/'.

However, I agree that it must be easier for users and I will look into that soon
