I've finally updated my site to both d7 (rc4) and Omega 7.x-2.0-alpha5 . Before I did the makeover, I w2orked out my Omega sub-theme on my laptop localhost. On that version, I have the dropdown menus working perfectly. But for some reason, I'm not able to get them working on the live site.
I've checked my settings against the dev site and everything SEEMS to be the same. But still no luck.
Of course, I've been at it for awhile and my brain's pretty fried.... So I may be missing something obvious. Just wondering though if you might have a suggestion.

It's just custom CSS in the Omega theme. I didn't want to go "too far" into building in some super advanced dropdown system, but wanted the basics there, that could then be enhanced with jQuery and more CSS.
Glad you like it!
