In order to show the project's human-readable name instead of the non-human-readable repository shortname, vc_project needs to implement two views sets - one to replace the global commit log, and one to replace the per-user commit log.

I've implemented & committed the views set declarations, as well as the base views for each (just global & per-user, no per-repo needed). Haven't done the git-specific ones yet, but that's OK, this issue is solidly done.
