we are going to have folks here translating Drupal core and other contributed modules such as Commerce.

Could you give me permissions to to approve strings on localize.drupal.org, and give me back commit access to the pt-br project?

I will make sure to discuss with you and others when any doubts about translations pop up, and before making any commits to the main translation project.
