I just installed Drupal 6.14 and installed the Grassland theme.

I love it!

One problem - any block I add to the footer area, never shows up.

The footer message does not show up either.

When I add a custom logo in the global settings for themes, it does not show up in Grassland, but does show up with any other template.

make sure you find

<?php print $regions_name[the variable which you find inside the .info file] ?>

into that div
as well as $footer_messages

Have now added footer message to the dev release should take up to 12 hours for new tarball to be ready, footer region should have been working though. This theme was intended not to have a logo, that's why it doesn't have that feature, but I might consider adding one.
