Problem/Motivation

As in the title. If someone else will be the main maintainer at some point, they will restore it if they want to, for me it's a nuisance as I already had to clean the files multiple times due to running a ddev command in the module folder accidentally and it's even more annoying because of the .gitignore.

Oh sorry to hear that wasn’t working for you. Others (who didn’t use it in their workflow) ran into the problem you’re describing.

I’ll bring it up with the maintainers of ddev and the contrib plugin.
