Editing existing presets results in the edited preset being updated to the default preset; the edited preset does not retain its original settings.

Steps to reproduce:

Edit an existing preset
1. Change an existing preset's name;
2. the "Use current configuration" check box is not checked;
3. preset is updated to default settings and does not retain original presets.

I just tried the latest and it does not fix the problem.
Still same problem w/ the preset being updated to the default.

Following your steps, I am unable to reproduce the bug after the fix I committed. Prior to the fix, I was able to reproduce the bug. I tried for both theme setting and block configuration presets. Also tried changing both the human readable and machine name.
