While your current version will continue to function smoothly, we recommend you to install the newer SmartCode version (2.1) by following the steps shown below. Check the changelog for updates on new features.

Version 2.1, released 01-03-2024

  • Eliminate white flash caused by SmartCode integration via external files (e.g., Tag Managers, Cookie consent managers), though adding SmartCode via external files is not advisable as it might cause a flash of original content.
  • Mitigate VWO's impact on core web vitals (FCP & LCP), especially for SSG-built websites (e.g., Gatsby, Next.js, Nuxt.js).
  • Address loading delay of VWO resources in Firefox browser to ensure smoother performance.

Steps to reproduce

Install latest module, and then go to https://app.vwo.com/#/websites-and-apps/connected/website/1/code to review the installation

VWO now shows the correct version when connecting a website.

Confirmation that the A/B testing is working as expected with this change would be appreciated before a release should be made.
