We get sporadic (but quite a few) reports from users that the correct answers get the "incorrect answer" response. I checked the log entries and I can confirm at least one instance where a correct answer produced this response. (see screenshots attached)
We have not been able to reproduce this behaviour, we can only confirm that it definetly exists.
We are currently on Drupal 9.5.7, but the problem appears to have existed for in earlier versions already.

anybodyThanks @Avvion, it would be interesting to hear, if this still happens with 3.x and Captcha 2.x, which received several bugfixes. Are you planning to upgrade soon?
There are good chances, that this is fixed in 3.x. And 2.x won't receive (non-security) updates anymore.

grevil commentedIs it possible for you to upgrade to Drupal 10 and use Captcha "2.0.0-beta3" together with Riddler "3.0.0"? This seems like a very unusual issue. I will have a look.

grevil commentedI think we just found the problem, through creating tests in #3316225: Add tests to ensure case-unsensitivity works. We recently had a customer with a very similar issue, only your screenshotted log message seems to be a bit off, but maybe it will help!
